The Shenkman Arts Centre, a multidisciplinary arts centre, was opened in 2009 and houses two theatres, seven galleries and 17 studios. Operated by the City of Ottawa. Orleans is home to the Place d’Orleans shopping centre. A large enclosed mall with 130 stores, a food court, and gym. Firstly, it is also the main OC Transpo hub in the east end of Ottawa. It even has a station connecting local routes to the Transit-way. Secondly, it has a passenger bridge from Place d’Orleans station to a park and ride facility on the opposite side of Regional Road 174.
